UX/UI Designer (m/f/d)

Karriere und Jobs bei OpenCloud

The Heinlein Group, based in Berlin, stands for digital sovereignty, data protection and open source. Under our umbrella, we unite the IT service provider Heinlein Support, the email provider mailbox.org, the video conferencing solution OpenTalk and the file management solution OpenCloud. With Linux expertise, personalised advice and innovative solutions for secure communication and collaboration, we ensure a sustainable IT infrastructure. Companies, public institutions, educational establishments and providers have trusted us for over 30 years.

To strengthen our product team, we are looking for a talented and experienced UX/UI Designer (f/m/d) who will contribute to the design and further development of our digital brands OpenCloud and OpenTalk. In a creative and collaborative work environment, you will have the opportunity to shape innovative products, enhance user experiences, and elevate them to the next level.

Your tasks

  • Design with a user-first mindset: You will create user-friendly and visually appealing designs for our digital products. By analyzing user needs, conducting usability tests, and identifying areas for improvement, you will continuously optimize the user experience.

  • Visionary and interface builder: You will develop user interface concepts and visualize them through prototypes, high-fidelity mockups, and wireframes. Working closely with the Product Manager, you will translate vision and strategy into tangible design solutions. You will also collaborate regularly with the Product Owner and development team to ensure smooth implementation.

  • Giving the product a face: You will develop and maintain a consistent design system, create user flows and interaction concepts, and design intuitive, forward-thinking user interfaces.

Your profile

  • Design is your language: You have at least 3 years of professional experience in UX/UI design and a portfolio that convincingly showcases your design skills in product development. You are proficient in tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite. A solid technical understanding of web development (e.g. HTML, CSS) is a plus.

  • User-centric approach: You work iteratively with a strong focus on user needs—using user tests, feedback, and design reviews to inform your process. You are able to present complex topics in a visually clear and intuitive way.

  • Team player with strong communication skills: You enjoy working in a team and communicate clearly and purposefully—in both German and English. You actively contribute to interdisciplinary collaboration and bring a proactive mindset to the table.

We offer you

Work with purpose

Our DNA and passion: Linux, open source and data protection. Let's work together to make our customers' communication freer, more secure and therefore digitally sovereign.

Family business

We are a family-run company with over 30 years of history. For our culture, this means trusting cooperation, stability and security. We are happy for you to share in the company's success.
