Frequently asked questions

How can I test OpenCloud?

There are two ways to test OpenCloud:

a) You can try out our public demo instance at https://demo.opencloud.eu. This instance is restarted every hour on the hour so that all stored data is deleted.
Important: Please do not upload any sensitive data, as all users use the same logins and can therefore access this data!

b) You set up your own local test instance.

Are there already plans for a SaaS offering?

Yes, a SaaS offering is already being planned and will be available via our partners in the future. The first offers will be available from 1.5.2025. We will refer to these offers via a partner page.

What are the requirements for an on-premise installation?

We would like to run OpenCloud On-Premise. Who can help us with the installation?

OpenCloud itself focuses on the development of the software. We rely on a functioning partner eco-system and work together with external partners who support you with the installation and configuration of OpenCloud.

Is an integration of OpenCloud and OpenTalk planned?

Yes, we are planning to integrate OpenCloud and the OpenTalk video conferencing solution and are already working on it.

As an ISV / software provider, can we integrate our solution into OpenCloud or build on it?

OpenCloud is an open source based collaboration solution. The APIs are well documented. Of course you can build your solution on OpenCloud. Contact our sales team to clarify any questions regarding support, upgrades, releases and access to early security advisories.

We need help with a proof of concept? Does OpenCloud support us in this?

OpenCloud is a software provider and interested in meeting your requirements with our software product OpenCloud.

We want to install OpenCloud on K8s. Where can we find the Helmcharts?

The standard helmet charts are currently being revised, adapted to the production release and will be made available in Q2/2025.
