OpenCloud will also be represented: Peer Heinlein, CEO and founder of the Heinlein Group and OpenCloud, will talk about the question of how digital sovereignty can be put into practice when central tools suddenly threaten to break away.

Vortrag: A community has to do, what a community has to do

When manufacturers change their strategy or products disappear from the market, open source opens up the possibility of continuing the code, gaining new partners and rebuilding support structures. Open source is the freedom to take responsibility yourself.

Peer Heinlein reports on a current example in his presentation: from a courageous fork to the vision of a "future workspace" for Europe - digitally sovereign, open source and operated in its own data centres.

Do we have the chance to do this? Yes.
Will it be easy? No.
But feasible. And this presentation shows why - and how.

24 September 2025, 13:30

We look forward to exchanging ideas with everyone who wants to make IT infrastructures future-proof, open and sovereign.
