OpenCloud now also available as an Android app

Berlin, 13 August 2025 - OpenCloud, the powerful open source platform for file management, file sharing and digital collaboration, is now also available as an Android app. This means that OpenCloud is available across all platforms - in the browser, as a desktop app for Windows, macOS and Linux, as an iOS app and now also for Android devices.
The Android app enables secure mobile access to all data stored in OpenCloud as well as editing and sharing files with centrally controlled access rights. Photos taken with the smartphone can also be synchronised directly and automatically to the cloud. Android users have immediate access to a backup of their images.
In addition, the app offers the same mobile functions as the iOS version: files can be marked for offline use, documents can be scanned as PDFs directly in the app and important content can be shared in a targeted manner. Integration into the Android sharing system makes it easy to edit and send files - with the same access controls as in the web interface. Biometric authentication via fingerprint ensures additional security.
