Event & Marketing Manager (f/m/d)

Heinlein Teamevent

The Heinlein Group, based in Berlin, stands for digital sovereignty, data protection and open source. Under our umbrella, we unite the IT service provider Heinlein Support, the email provider mailbox, the video conferencing solution OpenTalk and the file management solution OpenCloud. With Linux expertise, personalised advice and innovative solutions for secure communication and collaboration, we ensure a sustainable IT infrastructure. Companies, public institutions, educational establishments and providers have trusted us for over 30 years.

Events are your element – you plan, coordinate and execute until everything runs seamlessly. You love bringing people and brands together, creating experiences that leave a lasting impression? Then join our team as an Event & Marketing Manager (f/m/d) and help shape how OpenCloud, OpenTalk and the Heinlein Group present themselves convincingly at trade fairs, conferences and public events.

Your responsibilities

  • Bring our brands to life: You plan, organise and oversee our appearances – from industry conferences and trade fairs to community events, webinars and customer gatherings.

  • Ensure smooth operations: You manage our participation in events from A to Z – selecting suitable events, handling budgets and timelines, preparing content and logistics, and overseeing on-site execution.

  • Position our message: You make sure our brands shine at events – through targeted speaker placements, engaging presentations and creative formats that fit our identity.

  • Contribute to content marketing: You work closely with the marketing team on announcements, live coverage and post-event reports for our website and social media channels.

  • Think ahead: You keep an eye on trends, competitors and relevant B2B events, identifying opportunities where and how we should be visible.

Your profile

  • Event DNA: You bring several years of experience in event management, ideally combined with marketing or communications responsibilities – preferably in a B2B or IT environment.

  • Organisational talent: You work in a structured, solution-oriented and reliable way, keeping budgets, timelines and details under control – even when things get busy.

  • Hands-on and mobile: You’re happy to travel, accompany events on-site and lend a hand wherever needed.

  • Content-savvy: You write clearly and with purpose – whether invitations, event announcements or short social media posts – and have a good feel for tone, language and visual storytelling.

  • Team player: You collaborate closely with colleagues from Marketing, Sales, Design, Product and Management. You bring communication skills, reliability, commitment, attention to detail and self-initiative. Getting things done is second nature to you.

  • Bilingual fluency: You speak and write both German and English confidently, and navigate international events and networks with ease.

  • Berlin-based: You live in or near Berlin – ideally placed to manage event preparation and logistics independently from our Berlin office.

We offer you

Work with purpose

Our DNA and passion: Linux, open source and data protection. Let's work together to make our customers' communication freer, more secure and therefore digitally sovereign.

Continuous learning

You can expect challenging and varied tasks that always bring new insights. Sharing experience and transferring knowledge across all teams and levels is a matter of course for us.

Personal growth

We provide targeted support for your professional and personal development. An open exchange within the team is just as much a fundamental part of this as internal and external training, conferences and coaching.

Work-life balance

We make it possible for you to combine work and family life - e.g. through flexibility and partial remote working. Oh yes: overtime is not a matter of course and will of course be compensated.

Family business

We are a family-run company with over 30 years of history. For our culture, this means trusting cooperation, stability and security. We are happy for you to share in the company's success.

Amenities

Coffee, tea and fruit are always available. Just like regular joint team events and activities that make (working) life more enjoyable.
