The Dutch entrepreneur Chris Hendriks will be the new CEO of OpenCloud. Hendriks has more than 20 years of experience in setting up open source-based IT and cloud infrastructures. With his consulting company, he has successfully supported numerous organisations and large companies on their way to sovereign IT architectures. We are delighted to have him on board at OpenCloud.
"Open source is a key component in giving organisations, companies and citizens the opportunity to determine what happens to their data themselves," says Hendriks. "Together with the team, I want to further advance OpenCloud as a cloud-native open source solution for file management, file sharing and collaboration - and establish it as a central component of a sovereign European cloud infrastructure."
In addition to the new leadership role at OpenCloud, the Heinlein Group is adding another key position to its management team: As Sales Director of the Heinlein Group, Thomas Fundneider is taking over the bundling of all our sales activities from Heinlein Support, mailbox, OpenTalk and OpenCloud and the responsibility for the development of a European sales organisation. The Swiss national was most recently Managing Director of SNP (Schweiz) AG and Head of Sales for several years. With over 25 years of experience in IT sales and the development of partner networks, he will drive expansion in the core markets.
In parallel, the Heinlein Group is opening a branch in Zurich. This reaffirms its goal of shaping an open, secure and sovereign future for Europe - and creates additional proximity to customers and partners in Switzerland.
This is a decisive step for OpenCloud: With new leadership, strengthened sales and a growing European presence, we can expand our platform for file management and collaboration more quickly and make it more widely available - open, scalable and secure. We are thus making a concrete contribution to digital sovereignty in Europe.
